Schools Summary

Woodline Primary

Woodline Primary, an independent co-educational school, prioritises nurturing children’s emotional wellbeing in a secure environment. The school provides a personalised and engaging learning experience, valuing each child's individuality with small class sizes to foster interaction. Its curriculum includes Auslan (Australian Sign Language), underscoring the school's commitment to inclusivity. Outdoor activities and environmental stewardship are integral, with students engaging in sustainable practices on a 20-acre farm. The educational approach emphasises trauma-informed practices, emotional safety, and child-centred learning, focusing on play-based methods and intrinsic motivation. Woodline values personal growth over competitive grades to cultivate a growth mindset, fostering a culture of connection, environmental responsibility, openness, and curiosity.

Princes Hill Primary

Princes Hill Primary champions a discovery-based educational journey through the Collective Inquiry Approach. With a strong emphasis on student-led inquiry, the school encourages students to take ownership of their learning, facilitated by teachers who serve as guides rather than directors. It features industry specialists who enrich classroom learning with real-world expertise. The school’s focus on Documentation of Learning highlights student progress, while community projects promote social responsibility. Join us at Princes Hill for an experience centred on inquiry-based learning, student empowerment, and community engagement.

Preshil Primary (TBC)

This progressive school in Melbourne offers a holistic International Baccalaureate (IB) education, emphasising inquiry-based learning and personal development. The curriculum encourages critical thinking and creativity, supported by strong student-teacher relationships that promote mutual respect and a rich learning environment.

Newmark Primary (TBC)

At Newmark, education is driven by Human-Centred Design, tailored to individual student needs. The school’s philosophy of holistic development is supported by the "5 Ways of Wellbeing," integrating Social Enterprise principles to foster social responsibility. Education here transcends traditional boundaries, encouraging creative and critical thinking through First Principle Thinking.

Kunyung Primary

Kunyung Primary: Located on the Mornington Peninsula, Kunyung Primary is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The school adopts a progressive educational philosophy, fostering student autonomy, inquiry-based learning, and holistic development.

Woodleigh School - Penbank Campus

This campus emphasises a holistic IB Primary Years Programme education, fostering intellectual, social, and emotional growth. It features the 'Wugubank Partnership' which enhances community engagement and global citizenship.

Workshop with Richard Owens from the Woodleigh Institute

Richard Owens leads an institute focused on transformative approaches to learning, leadership, and collaboration at Woodleigh School and beyond. He is involved in strategic planning and projects aimed at school improvement and innovation. Richard’s interests include real-world learning, systems thinking, and the development of complex competencies. This workshop will help participants develop actionable insights from the week's learning to implement in their schools.
